Tourism Support Line revised and strengthened

This Friday, June 28, Turismo de Portugal presents the 2024 Offer Qualification Support Line, a financial instrument to support companies in the tourism sector.

Turismo de Portugal presents, this Friday, June 28, the 2024 Offer Qualification Support Line, which aims to support investment promoted by companies in the tourism sector, in a partnership model with the Bank.

The Minister of Economy, Pedro Reis, will preside over the session which will also be attended by the Secretary of State for Tourism, Pedro Machado, the president of Turismo de Portugal, Carlos Abade, the president of the Portuguese Banking Association, Vítor Bento, and the representatives of the 12 banking entities involved.

It should be noted that the protocol will be signed between Turismo de Portugal and several banking entities, namely Abanca; Bankinter; BPI; General cash deposits; Agricultural Credit; Caixa Agrícola de Torres Vedras; EuroBic; Millennium BCP; Montepio General; Novo Banco; Novo Banco dos Açores; Santander.

It should be remembered that the Offer Qualification Support Line is a financial instrument that consists of medium and long-term financing of investment projects by tourism companies that translate, above all, into the requalification of tourist enterprises, the creation of tourist enterprises innovative projects in the area of tourist entertainment and catering, as well as tourism entrepreneurship projects.

At the end of December 2020, the Offer Qualification Support Line protocol was renewed with Turismo de Portugal, increasing the global amount of the line by 300 million euros, with the line's execution deadline subsequently being extended until 31 December 2025.
