There is a new (free) European program to train Portuguese women entrepreneurs, in a particular industry

The European organization EIT Food announced the launch of its mentoring program, Empowering Women in Agrifood (EWA), designed to empower Portuguese women entrepreneurs in the agrifood industry.

The goal of the fifth edition of this program is not only to continue to offer women entrepreneurs financing for their projects and personalized mentoring with experts from the agri-food industry, but also to promote the greater presence of women in leadership positions in this sector.

EWA covers a wide range of topics essential to business success in the agri-food industry, including developing sustainable business models, marketing and branding strategies, accessing finance and fundraising to drive growth, market entry and international expansion.

All of this will be led by a diverse network of mentors and strategic partners, over six intensive months. Women beneficiaries will also have the opportunity to win prizes ranging between 5000 and 10 thousand euros.

Following the success of previous editions, EIT Food launched this program simultaneously in 11 countries: Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Turkey.

The program will run from June to November and is free. Applications will be open until May 24 and can be made here.
