Secretary of State for the Environment opens 2nd Biowaste Forum

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Emídio Sousa, will open the 2nd Biowaste Forum, which will take place on June 19. It will be a privileged opportunity to hear the new Executive's priorities for this strategic sector, which faces huge challenges in the near future.

Biowaste was identified as the key to face the challenges of waste management in Europe and is, therefore, today the center of concerns and priorities of government, municipalities and environmental professionals.

Recognizing and highlighting the importance of these "new" resources, the 2nd Biowaste Forum will be the stage for discussing many current issues: understanding how municipalities and SGRU plan to implement the selective collection management operation, as well as financing options of new operations.
The energy recovery of bio-waste will also be analyzed, with a focus on the recovery of biogas via the production of biomethane. Among many other pertinent topics.

The 2nd Biowaste Forum, which is attended by the main authorities in the waste sector – a reflection of its relevance and importance – takes place at Teatro Campo Alegre, in Porto. Mark in your calendar now!

And enjoy: all registrations made until May 7 benefit from a special discount of 15% on the value.
