New Artificial Intelligence (AI) service for companies

According to Jornal Económico, technology consultancy Wiimer will launch a new service based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for companies next week. The framework – a code package to create digital applications – allows you to search and obtain instant analyzes from organizations' internal and external documents, the founders of the Portuguese company told Jornal Económico (JE). Details of the solution will be made known to the public next Thursday.

Despite working mostly with large companies, Wiimer's managing partner argues that it is in small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) "that the potential of AI will be greatest”. Why? "They are relatively late in adopting models. Therefore, even from a logic of social responsibility in technology, we can not only look at large multinational corporations. It is also necessary to develop solutions for SMEs, which represent the vast majority of the business sector not only in Portugal but also in Spain”, explained Miguel Moreira da Silva to JE.

Miguel Moreira da Silva and Francisca Almeida are the main faces behind this digital consultancy boutique, which develops analytical models and algorithms. Founded in 2020, precisely one month after the start of the pandemic, Wiimer is located in Porto and is present in Spain, Chile, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States and Germany. In the last three years, given that 2020 was the ramp-up (or year zero), it sold 30 advanced analytics projects.
